Pemberton, an alternative credit specialist, has appointed Olivier Renault as Portfolio Manager and Head of Risk Sharing Strategy. Renault brings over 20 years of experience in structured credit, securitisation and bank capital finance. At Pemberton, he will be responsible for leading its new Risk Sharing Strategy, which sees Pemberton broaden its offering into yet another attractive area of alternative credit.   Pemberton’s new strategy will invest in junior tranches of loan portfolios originated and serviced by banks. Wellington Management (Wellington) has expanded its Alternative Investments platform through the hiring of the investment team of Shelter Haven Capital Management (Shelter Haven), a market neutral, long/short equity manager that primarily focuses on small and mid-cap companies in the technology, media, telecom and consumer sectors. The terms of the expansion have not been disclosed.   Shelter Haven was founded in 2017 by Jerry Kochanski, an experienced alternatives portfolio manager, and currently oversees approximately USD350 million in client assets across separate accounts and commingled funds. MFS Investment Management (MFS) has appointed Natasha van der Linde as director of Benelux institutional sales. Van der Linde will be responsible for driving the growth of MFS’ Benelux institutional business. She will focus on MFS’ broad range of fixed income and equity capabilities to Benelux institutions, including local governments, corporate pension funds, charities, insurance companies, fiduciary managers, and consultants. Global alternative investment manager Wafra Inc has promoted Adel A Alderbas to Chief Investment Officer (CIO). Alderbas will work closely with Chief Executive Officer Fawaz Al-Mubaraki to oversee the firm’s investment activities and execute Wafra’s vision to deliver investment solutions that provide long-term prosperity for asset owners around the world. BTIG has appointed Bradford Ainslie as a Managing Director within the firm’s Institutional Equities business.
