Liquidity Finance has appointed Marina Davydova to its emerging markets fixed income team, expanding the company’s focus on the CIS market.   Davydova’s most recent post was at Raymond James in London, managing European fixed income sales. The board of the Channel Islands Stock Exchange (CISX) has appointed Jon Moulton as director and chairman.   He takes over from interim chairman Graham Hall, who remains on the board and will temporarily assist to ensure an effective handover.   Moulton (pictured) is a non-executive chairman of FinnCap, the stockbroker. A chartered accountant, a corporate financier and a fellow of the Institute for Turnaround Professionals, Moulton is chairman of Better Capital and chairman of Aurigny Group. Palmer Square Capital Management, an investment management firm that provides portfolios of structured credit, collateralised loan obligations and hedge fund strategies, has appointed Jeffrey Fox as executive director.   Reporting to Angie Long, Palmer Square’s chief investment officer, Fox’s primary focus will be on managing the analytics, trading and modelling behind the firm’s structured credit and CLO platform. Lyxor Asset Management is reinforcing its cross asset research team with the appointment of Rob Koyfman as senior strategist.   Based in New York, Koyfman reports to Jeanne Asseraf-Bitton, global head of cross asset research.    Koyfman’s main responsibility will be to further expand the current cross asset research. His contributions will strengthen the top-down input into investment decisions by Lyxor’s portfolio managers.   Koyfman started his career at Goldman Sachs in 2002 where he held several roles including REITs research, portfolio strategy research and macro trading. Jeremy Hester has been named as head of sales for Northern Trust’s global fund services business in the UK, responsible for offering investment operations outsourcing, fund administration and the full range of asset servicing solutions, to investment managers domiciled in the UK.   Hester joined Northern Trust in 1994 and was most recently head of sales for Northern Trust in Australia and New Zealand, where he was instrumental in growing the bank’s client base in the region.   His previous role in Northern Trust’s Melbourne office has been assumed by Angelo Calvitto who is also responsible for client relationship management
Igor Puljic and Marjoleine van der Peet are to join the hedge funds team at Kempen Capital Management (KCM) in Amsterdam.   Puljic (36) will join KCM’s hedge funds team in May as senior portfolio manager. He has 13 years of manager selection experience. Most recently, he spent eight years at London-based Key Asset Management where he was deputy chief investment officer and portfolio manager for the firm’s flagship multi-strategy fund of hedge funds.   “I am very excited to be joining such a high quality organisation which has a strong reputation in the hedge fund industry,” he says.  
Funds lawyer Stephen Ross is to join Sidley Austin as a partner and will co-head the firm’s London investment funds group, part of the firm’s global investment funds practice.   Ross (pictured) will join Sidley from his position as group general counsel of London-based Man Group, the world’s second largest hedge fund manager. Agecroft Partners, a hedge fund consulting and third party marketing firm, has hired hedge fund marketing veteran Jim Sauls as managing director and head of European marketing.   Sauls brings over 20 years of institutional experience marketing hedge funds and derivative products on a global basis.   Before Agecroft Partners Sauls spent 10 years with Calatrava Securities, where he was director of marketing and chief executive of its affiliated commodity pool operator. Trishield Capital Management, an investment manager focused on investments in distressed and special situations, has appointed Robert L Harteveldt as chief executive officer.   Harteveldt joins Trishield from the global investment bank Jefferies LLC, where he was co-head of global fixed income, head of fixed income origination and was a member of the firm’s executive committee. Harteveldt joined Jefferies in July 2008. Prior to his recent roles at Jefferies, he ran the company’s leveraged finance sales, trading and capital markets businesses.   At Trishield, Harteveldt will be part of the investment team, managing the firm and driving its growth objectives.
