Kohlberg Kravis Roberts has appointed Mubashir Mukadam as European Head of Special Situations for the firm’s USD14 billion asset management platform, KKR Asset Management LLC (KAM). Mukadam, based in London, will focus on secondary purchases of distressed assets as well as rescue lending and structured investments in Europe. He will report to Nat Zilkha and Jamie Weinstein, Co-Heads of Special Situations. International law firm Walkers has appointed partner Paul Farrell in its new Dublin office where he will head up Walkers’ Investment Funds Group in Ireland. Farrell joins Walkers from Matheson Ormsby Prentice, where he practised as an asset management partner, leading their alternative investment arm and advised numerous banks and financial institutions in relation to the establishment of Irish funds over the past 13 years. Oak Hill Advisors has appointed Chris Cereghino as Managing Director in the firm’s client coverage team. Cereghino is based in New York and, along with a team of other professionals, is responsible for business development and relationship management. Stephen Darling is joining CIBC on 1 March as Managing Director with the firm’s currencies team in London.    Darling has 19 years of foreign exchange trading experience with the London operations of the Royal Bank of Canada where he held senior roles in FX. Mirsky joins the firm from Laven Partners, a specialist investment management consultancy where he was managing director and oversaw the creation of a UCITS platform.  A US-trained lawyer, Mirsky was previously a partner in Ernst & Young’s Hedge Fund Practice. Mirsky brings a wealth of hedge funds experience to KPMG. He has worked with Big 4 firms in London, New York, Washington DC, Milan, Bangkok and the Cayman Islands.
