Citi has launched a collateral management services unit within its securities and fund services business.  Rajen Shah joins from JPMorgan Chase as global head and Pierre Mengal joins from Standard Chartered Bank as Asia regional head. Shah will be responsible for leading the development of a global collateral management services capability for Citi’s securities and fund services. Mengal will be responsible for collateral-related product developments for intermediary and investor clients in Asia. Stocker (pictured) practices in the full range of corporate and commercial law matters, including general banking and finance transactions, asset and structured financings, local aircraft and vessel registrations, and private equity and other investment fund work. Prior to joining Appleby, Stocker practised with Maples and Calder in the Cayman Islands and subsequently in Hong Kong. Law firm Eversheds has appointed Steven Geerlings and Paul-Michael Rebus in a move to strengthen the firm’s City banking and finance offering.   Geerlings specialises in asset based lending acting for ABL providers on a Pan European basis. Citi Capital Advisors has appointed Mahmood Noorani as portfolio manager for its global macro strategies team, which provides the investment management services for the CCA Global Macro Fund. Noorani brings to the team 20 years of experience at financial institutions, including five years at BlueCrest Capital Management. Prior to BlueCrest he was a proprietary trader at Credit Suisse in London where he spent four years. He also spent four years as an options market maker at UBS. IMC asset management has hired a team of four senior investment professionals. The move heralds the launch of an investment grade credit corporate offering, within its core European credit capability. The team joins from Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch. Rodrigo Araya, who joins IMC as head of investment grade credit strategies, was responsible for the entire fixed income business at Lombard while continuing to directly head the credit business. KB Associates, a consulting firm to the asset management community, has appointed Phillip Chapple as executive director. He joins Claire Cawley in the new London office. Chapple will help to set up and grow the London office, and develop the KB product range by offering hedge fund start up consultancy, due diligence advisory, re-domiciliation planning and infrastructure review services in the London alternative investment market.
