Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets has appointed Alan Capper as managing director and head of credit strategy.
In this newly created position, Capper will be responsible for the provision of macro credit strategy research and he will also be instrumental in building a team to generate trading recommendations.
He will report to Paul Lewitt, head of credit trading.
Capper has over 20 years’ financial markets experience. He led BNP Paribas’ quantitative credit research and credit strategy teams and was managing director responsible for Lehman Brothers’ European credit strategy from 2004 to 2006.
Latterly, he was head of asset allocation for
Highland Capital Management, an investment management firm based in Dallas, Texas, has promoted Patrick Boyce and Lane Britain to partner.
Boyce is currently chief operating officer and chief financial officer at Highland and Britain serves as a portfolio manager and co-head of research at the firm.
Both individuals will continue in their existing roles at the firm with the added responsibility of being a partner.

Triton Capital Advisors, a provider of managed futures investments, has appointed Stephen Klawitter as senior vice president.
Klawitter will partner with Jay Ramey and Richard Singer to service and meet the alternative investment needs of sophisticated investors and wealth advisers.
“To achieve their investment goals in today’s uncertain marketplace, investors are looking more and more at alternatives to enhance diversification and provide non-correlation to their traditional long-only portfolios,” says Singer. “Stephen’s extensive background in the managed futures industry will reinforce our commitment of a high quality investor experience at Triton.”
Prior to joining Triton, Klawitter served as vice president in
Law firm Clifford Chance has elected 22 lawyers to its partnership, including three from the US.

Gelber
Mourant du Feu & Jeune lawyers Kate Storey and Lionel Woodward have been promoted to senior associate.
Guernsey-based Storey (pictured) qualified as an English solicitor in 2000 and prior to joining Mourant was a senior associate at Cobbetts in Manchester where she gained experience of corporate and commercial transactions and was also seconded to the in-house legal function at Matalan.
She joined the Guernsey office in January 2007 as a member of the finance and funds teams and qualified as a Guernsey advocate in July 2009.
Woodward, based in Jersey, joined Mourant in February 2006 after five years practice in
Guy de Blonay has been appointed lead manager of the Jupiter Hyde Park Hedge Fund with effect from 1 June 2010.
Blonay (pictured) will take on the management of the fund from Philip Gibbs, who will become deputy fund manager.
The fund has been managed by Gibbs since its inception in March 2000 and has returned 379.6 per cent in dollar terms and has never produced a negative annual calendar year return in its ten year history.
Blonay, who has 13 years’ investment experience, joined Jupiter from Henderson New Star where he was responsible for a number of
Law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges has added John Fadely to its Hong Kong office as a partner and a member of the firm’s global funds practice.
Fadely (pictured) has extensive experience in Asia representing international and Asia-based sponsors in the formation and restructuring of Asia-focused private investment funds, including private equity funds, real estate funds and hedge funds, as well as in the formation of joint venture investment vehicles and carried interest plans.
Fadely has also been active in representing institutional investors in private funds, including the formation of sizable co-investment vehicles.
Fadely, who is fluent in Mandarin Chinese,
Jeremy Stretch will be joining CIBC’s macro strategy team in late July as executive director and head of FX strategy.
Stretch joins from financial services firm Rabobank.and has over 15 years’ experience in FX and fixed income strategy.
He will be based in London and will focus primarily on developing tactical trade ideas involving major currencies, as well as on cross-product analysis, for internal users and CIBC clients.
He will report to Joanna Zapior, who leads the macro strategy team from Toronto, and locally to Mark Sweeting, European head of the financial solutions group.

Gottex Fund Management, an alternative asset management group, has hired Debra Rothman as managing director, head of North American sales and marketing, and Mark Oestergaard as marketing director in Europe.
Rothman will be based in Boston and play an active and leading role in marketing and business development in North America.
She has an extensive background of consulting relations, sales, and product development and most recently was head of business development at SCS Financial, leading the expansion of its fund of hedge funds effort. During her 25 year career, she has held senior roles with Robeco Investment Management, Putnam Investments
