SS&C Technologies, a provider of financial services software and software-enabled services, has launched Risk Analytics, an independent investment risk analysis solution for hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity funds and managed accounts.
The new risk management tools, fully integrated with SS&C’s proprietary accounting and derivatives platform, provide SS&C’s clients daily and monthly risk reporting as part of SS&C’s middle and back office fund administration services.
Risk Analytics is also available as an in-house solution.

A record number of over-the-counter interest rate swap trades were cleared in Q2 2010 by LCH.Clearnet’s IRS clearing service SwapClear.
The total number of trades for the quarter reached 191,694 trade sides, a 30 per cent increase on Q2 2009, driven by record volumes in May of 73,440 trade sides.
The increased figures bring the total outstanding amount of IRS transactions to USD224.6trn.

Swift plans to acquire the assets of SunGard’s Ambit Messaging Hub solution for high-volume financial messaging.
The transaction is subject to a number of closing conditions that are expected to be fulfilled by the end of the quarter.
SunGard’s AvantGard Ecosystem Communication Hub (Echos) for corporate-to-bank messaging is based on the AMH technology.

Dow Jones Indexes has launched a family of indices measuring the market’s expectation of the future rate of US inflation.
They are intended to serve as the underlying basis of financial products such as exchange-traded funds, swaps and structured products.
The main index in the family is the Dow Jones Long-Term Inflation Index, which tracks the difference in returns of long-term Treasury Inflation Protected Securities and the long-term Ultra Treasury Bond futures contract listed at the Chicago Board of Trade. Two sub-indexes individually track returns of the component instruments.
