Trade Informatics (TI), an independent provider of quantitative analytics and systematic trading solutions to institutional asset managers, has appointed Andrew Shortland as Chief Executive Officer EMEA.
Shortland will be responsible for the continued expansion of Trade Informatics’ international client base as well as building a team of data analysts and client service professionals to provide local support to the clients based outside of the US.
Based out of the London office, Shortland will report to Matthew Celebuski, Global CEO of TI.

Maitland, a global family office, administration and advisory firm, has appointed David Hathorn as Deputy Chairman with effect from 1 February 2019 as part of the firm’s ongoing succession planning.
Hathorn has been a non-executive Director of Maitland International Holdings plc and Chairman of its Audit and Risk Committee since May 2017.
Prior to his appointment to the Maitland Board, Hathorn was CEO for 17 years of FTSE 100 packaging and paper giant Mondi plc, which is dual listed in London and Johannesburg.

Cobalt, a foreign exchange (FX) infrastructure based on shared ledger and high performance technology, has hired five experienced professionals to lead its drive to ‘re-engineer the FX market’.
Cobalt says that post-trade FX is currently riddled with complex legacy systems and manual processes, creating unnecessary cost and risk across the market. The new hires bring a wealth of FX experience to the company and will play an important role in the rollout of Cobalt’s shared infrastructure which aims to optimise risk management and cut costs by up to 80 per cent.

Itiviti, a technology and service provider to financial institutions, has appointed Robert N Mackay as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, starting 1 April.
The Itiviti Board of Directors has carried out a thorough search process to find a new CEO. Mackay was selected for the position by virtue of his experience as a successful industry executive with a strong track record and customer focus.

Manuel Baptista has joined Broadridge Financial Solutions as Managing Director, Head of Investor Communication Solutions International (ICSI) Sales.
Baptista (pictured), will lead the sales team and support the expansion of Broadridge’s ICSI suite of services. He will work closely with issuers, custodians and intermediaries, and institutional investors to navigate regulatory and market change such as the amended EU Shareholder Rights Directive.
