Carne Global Financial Services has added a senior figure in the Irish funds industry to its growing list of experienced independent fund directors, with Mary Murphy joining the firm as a Managing Director, Alternatives.
Murphy, who will be based in Carne’s Dublin office, is a well-known figure in the Irish funds business, having been a founder and a member of the senior management team at International Fund Services (Ireland) Limited, a State Street company (IFS). From IFS’ launch in 1996, she focused on the growth of its hedge fund administration business and more recently on State Street’s private equity fund
Impact Investments Partners AG, the parent company of Blue Diamond Asset Management AG, has hired Tobias Mueller as Head of European Business Development.
Mueller is based in Wollerau, Switzerland and joins from Grantham, Mayo & Van Otterloo (GMO) where he was responsible for business development and client relations activities in Switzerland. Prior to that, he worked for UBS AG in Group Internal Audit. Mueller earned his MSc in Business and Economics from the University of Bern, Switzerland, and is a CFA charterholder.

Highbridge Capital Management has appointed Todd Builione, the firm’s Chief Operating Officer, as President and Chief Operating Officer. Builione joined Highbridge in 2005 as the firm’s first Head of Corporate Strategy and was promoted in 2009 to Chief Operating Officer.

Wealth and alternative asset management group Peregrine Holdings has added André Tonkin to its capital introduction team.
Tonkin joins Peregrine from Old Mutual Corporate where he was the market actuary responsible for creating customised investment solutions for the institutional market. At Peregrine, Tonkin will focus on the South African and international institutional market, working with existing team members Leila Kuhlenthal and Felicia Mlanjana.

Marcia Rothschild, Head of BNP Paribas Securities Services Brazil, and Otavio Vieira, Managing Director/Chief Investment Officer of Safdié Gestão de Patrimônio (a wholly subsidiary of Banque Safdié), will serve as Co-directors of the Brazilian Chapter. Aberdeen’s award-winning fund of hedge funds business has over GBP4 billion of assets under management.
