Wealth and alternative asset management group Peregrine Holdings has added André Tonkin to its capital introduction team.
Tonkin joins Peregrine from Old Mutual Corporate where he was the market actuary responsible for creating customised investment solutions for the institutional market. At Peregrine, Tonkin will focus on the South African and international institutional market, working with existing team members Leila Kuhlenthal and Felicia Mlanjana.

Marcia Rothschild, Head of BNP Paribas Securities Services Brazil, and Otavio Vieira, Managing Director/Chief Investment Officer of Safdié Gestão de Patrimônio (a wholly subsidiary of Banque Safdié), will serve as Co-directors of the Brazilian Chapter. Additionally, Juan Luis Rivera, Partner at Moneda Asset Management will be appointed as Director of the Chilean Chapter and Daniel Osorio, CEO of Andean Capital Management will take the reins as Director of the Colombian Chapter.

Aberdeen Asset Management (Aberdeen) has appointed Andrew McCaffery (pictured) as Head of Institutional Hedge Funds.
Aberdeen’s award-winning fund of hedge funds business has over GBP4 billion of assets under management. McCaffery will form part of the senior management team (alongside Graham Duce and Aidan Kearney) for the entire hedge fund and long only multi manager business. He will report to Anne Richards, Chief Investment Officer and Head of Alternative Investment Strategies.
McCaffery previously worked at BlueCrest, where he was a founder member of Alignment Investors, a separately branded division of BlueCrest. He joined BlueCrest in 2008 following two years

U.S. Bancorp Fund Services has appointed Michael Mohamadi as vice president, with responsibility for overseeing the east coast operations of the firm’s Alternative Investment Products division.
The division specialises in the unique servicing needs of alternative and private investment products such as hedge funds, offshore funds and distressed assets.

Mohamadi brings
SKCG Group hired insurance industry veteran Wayne C Siebner (pictured) to enhance its global hedge fund and private equity fund practice. SKCG’s client roster already includes many of the industry’s largest and most recognised funds.

BNY Mellon Alternative Investment Services (AIS) has named Jim Whitaker head of Relationship Management for the Americas and Mark Mannion head of Relationship Management for EMEA.
Whitaker assumes a role held previously by Marina Lewin, who was recently named Global Head of Sales for AIS. Mannion assumes the new title having transitioned from his role as Managing Director of European Business for the former PNC Global Investment Servicing unit acquired by BNY Mellon last year.
