Pierre Bourlatchka has been appointed a Director at Kinetic Partners and will join the risk management consulting and monitoring team in London.
Bourlatchka joins Kinetic Partners from F&C Asset Management, where he worked for the Alternative Investment Market Risk team, focusing on all aspects of AI risk management and reporting. During his time at F&C Asset Management, he was involved in all aspects of risk across a large variety of asset classes. Prior to this, Bourlatchka worked within Risk Management and Quantitative Analysis at Deephaven Capital Management on the Volatility & Convertibles bonds, High Yield & Fixed Income and Credit
Agecroft Partners, a global hedge fund consulting and third party marketing firm, has hired hedge fund veteran Doug Moore as a Managing Director. Moore brings over 14 years of institutional hedge fund experience to Agecroft Partners.
Previously, Moore spent eight years with another hedge fund third party marketing firm, and before that he worked six years for a multi-billion dollar hedge fund. During this time he has developed a very strong knowledge of hedge fund investment strategies and the capital markets, which should give him significant credibility with large institutional investors. John Donohoe, CEO of Carne Financial Services Group, has been named as an independent director to the board of the brand new Oddo Asset Management fund, called Orsay Merger Arbitrage.
The fund, which has been domiciled in Dublin as a QIF (Qualifying Investor Fund), will follow an M&A arbitrage strategy, and will be managed by fund manager Christian Fleury, who headed the merger arbitrage team at Banque d’Orsay. It will be promoted by Oddo Asset Management and managed by a team of nine in Paris, an investment management unit that has been working together for 13 years.

Eze Castle Integration has appointed former hedge fund IT head Steve Schoener as vice president of client technology. Schoener will drive technology growth and initiatives through the company’s North America, Europe and Asia offices and assist in product and service evaluations with new and existing hedge fund clients.
Schoener brings nearly a decade of experience in the hedge fund technology market, most recently serving as head of IT for DW Investment Management. While there, he oversaw all technology initiatives for the investment advisor business. Previously, Schoener served as associate director for UBS Investment Bank. However, his roots in the
Douglas R Rothschild, a financial industry veteran and expert in hedge fund operations and asset management, has been named president of Performance Trust Investment Advisors, LLC (PTIA), a sister company of Performance Trust Capital Partners, LLC.
As president, Rothschild will be responsible for running the asset management business for Performance Trust Investment Advisors and executing the company’s current business strategy, including raising additional assets and building out the infrastructure in distribution, client service and operations. He will team up with Chief Investment Officer Peter Cook, who manages the investment teams at PTIA.

Finisterre Capital, the long/short emerging market total return specialist, has appointed Ivailo Vesselinov as an Economist. He will report to Christopher Watson, Head of Research at Finisterre Capital.
Vesselinov was previously at Credit Suisse in London, where he was a Director and Senior EMEA Economist. He joined Credit Suisse in 2009 from Dresdner Kleinwort, where he held a similar position. He began his career in 1999 at the Bulgarian National Bank in Sofia as an Analyst. Vesselinov holds an MPhil in Macroeconomics from the University of Cambridge.
