BNP Paribas Corporate & Investment Banking (BNP Paribas) has appointed Stephen Hale, as Head of Hedge Fund Relationship Management Europe, further strengthening the bank’s European coverage of  hedge funds.   Hale joined the Investor Relationship Management team in London at the end of April and reports to Stefano Blotto, Head of Investor Relationship Management team in Europe. Stephen will be responsible for further expanding the BNPP’s hedge funds  franchise across Europe leveraging his wealth of experience and strong client contacts. Carey Olsen senior associate David Crosland (pictured) was called to the Guernsey Bar last month having passed his Bar exams to become an advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey. Robert J Boulware, former CEO of ING Funds Distributor, has accepted a partnership offer with multi-strategy alternative investment manager Palo Verde Capital, effective immediately. The Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) has launched an initiative to engage with the Brazilian hedge fund industry and announced the appointment of a local representative, Michelle Noyes of BRZ Investimentos.
