Eisso VanderMeulen has joined Newedge as part of the firm’s Prime Brokerage Origination & Structuring team, reporting to Jonathan Gane, Head of Origination and Structuring, Americas in conjunction with Andy Waterworth, Head of Fixed Income and Currency Strategies in London.
Based in New York, VanderMeulen will focus on developing the FX Prime Brokerage component as part of the overall multi-asset class, multi-instrument Prime Brokerage offering.
Previously, VanderMeulen worked at RJ O’Brien where he built the FX clearing and execution platform. He started banking in 1989 in commercial lending and in 1993 joined ABN AMRO as a Relationship Manager

HedgeMark International has named Richard F Brueckner, a Senior Executive Vice President and member of the Executive Committee of BNY Mellon and Chairman of Pershing LLC (Pershing), as non-executive Chairman.
In his role as Chairman, Brueckner will work with the board and HedgeMarkʼs management to establish best practices and ensure proper integration with relevant BNY Mellon and Pershing operating groups.
BNY Mellon, through its Pershing affiliate, is a significant shareholder in HedgeMark, having made an initial non-controlling investment in the firm earlier this year with an option to fully consolidate its ownership over a five-year period.

Howard Freedland has joined F500 Advisory Services as Chief Investment Officer and Head of Alternative Investments.
Freedland, who started one of the nation’s first 50 hedge funds and negotiated the USD280 million joint venture between GE Capital and ResCom in 1993, will work with F500 Advisory 500’s investment professionals to create and oversee its investment policy, including evaluating hedge funds and other alternative investments. F500 Advisory Services manages more than USD250 million with some USD38 million currently invested in hedge funds and other alternative investments.
