Sascha Bloemhoff has been appointed as managing director of Climex, a pan-European organisation which provides a marketplace for trading and auctioning environmental commodities and energy contracts.
Bloemhoff takes over the position of Axel Posthumus who was the founder of Climex in 2003 and has been in charge since.
Bloemhoff has been the commercial director of Climex since 2005.
This management change is a part of the change in shareholder structure announced on 27 May during Carbon Expo in Cologne.
Onex has appointed Jack Yang as managing partner of Onex Credit Partners.
Onex Credit Partners specialises in managing credit-related investments, including event-driven, long/short, and market dislocation strategies.
Asset classes include bank loans, bonds, and distressed debt.
Established in November 2007, Onex Credit Partners manages approximately USD900m in assets in various products including separate accounts and an exchange-listed fund.

Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets has appointed Nigel Myer as director and credit desk analyst reporting to Alan Capper, head of credit strategy.
Myer has over 25 years of financial markets experience including over 13 years in banks and insurance research.
He joins from Macquarie Securities. Previously, he was head of financial institutions credit research at Dresdner Kleinwort.
Capper says: “I am delighted Nigel is joining Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets. Nigel is a very senior and widely respected analyst and he will be instrumental in the evolution of our credit desk offering.”
Heidrick & Struggles International, an advisory firm providing executive search and leadership consulting services, has made two senior appointments in its North American buy-side sectors.
Daniel Edwards (pictured), global head of financial services who previously developed Heidrick’s hedge fund business, will be once again lead the hedge fund sector as part of his management responsibilities and Chad Astmann will lead the North American asset management sector practice.

Convergex Group, a technology company, has appointed Sean Westley as a senior vice president of sales at NorthPoint Trading Partners, the firm’s boutique prime brokerage business.
In his new role, Westley is located in New York.
Westley brings over 12 years of relevant experience with him. Prior to joining Convergex, he worked in numerous prime brokerage capacities at UBS, Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs. Most recently he served as an executive director in UBS’s prime services division.

David Tovar has joined Skyline Capital Management as head of research.
Tovar was previously an analyst at Merrill Lynch.
Skyline Capital Management is a long/short equity specialist with significant emerging markets exposure, which plans to launch with USD50 to USD100m assets under management in November.

Xenfin Capital, the systematic trading firm, has hired Luca Rubinelli to head its new fixed income trading arm as well as managing a global macro strategy.
Rubinelli brings experience in a broad range of fixed income products to Xenfin Capital.
He joins from a family office, where he was a multi-asset portfolio manager on the proprietary trading desk investing and trading in fixed income credit, equities and derivatives.

BNY Mellon has appointed Patrick Tadie to the newly created role of global business head for the company’s Derivatives360 initiative, an integrated investment servicing solution that helps clients execute and manage derivatives transactions.
Tadie, who is an executive vice president, will oversee the coordination and development of derivatives services across multiple business lines in the company.

Prior to joining Finisterre, Triebel worked within the corporate turnaround and restructuring team at Alix Partners in London.
