Brown Brothers Harriman has assigned Robert Lees and Richard Meek to its Hong Kong office, assuming the respective roles of head of securities lending trading and head of securities lending relationship management for the Asia Pacific region.
Lees reports to Jeff O’Neill, global head of securities lending trading, and Meek to Elizabeth Seidel, global head of securities lending relationship management, business development strategy and marketing.
Both work closely with Andrew Tucker, partner, who is responsible for the Asia Pacific region and BBH’s markets business, which includes global securities lending.

Citigroup has appointed Sanjiv Sawhney as global head of fund services for Citi’s securities and fund services business.
In this new position, Sawhney will provide leadership for Citi’s hedge fund, private equity and mutual fund administration businesses globally within Citi’s suite of investor services solutions.
Sawhney will report to Neeraj Sahai, global head of Citi’s securities and fund services, and joins from JP Morgan.

RBC Capital Markets, the corporate and investment banking arm of Royal Bank of Canada, has hired Raymond Schumertl as a director for global macro FX sales.
Schumertl will be based in RBC’s Hong Kong office and will report to Natasha Brook-Walters, global head of macro FX, RBC Capital Markets.
Schumertl joins RBC Capital Markets with over 18 years’ experience, most recently at Morgan Stanley where he was an executive director in FX institutional sales based in Tokyo.
Prior to this he held senior positions at Chase Manhattan Bank and Bank of America.

Cardano has appointed Stephanie Bruneau and Anna Genda to its London-based team.
Bruneau joins Cardano’s investment management team and Genda joins the client team.
Bruneau has over ten years’ investment industry experience. Before joining Cardano she worked for five years at GAM, where she analysed and recommended credit and multi-strategy funds. She also worked at P. Schoenfeld Asset Management for five years, investing in merger arbitrage and broader event-driven opportunities.
Genda joins Cardano from Mercer, where she worked as an analyst in its investment consulting business. Whilst at Mercer she worked on a wide range of investment issues including strategic
Heritage Capital, the merchant banking division of family-owned Banque Heritage, has appointed Niels Nooy as managing director and head of emerging markets trading for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America, plus three directors in London.
Nooy, who joined in January, reports directly to Henry Nevstad, head of markets and execution at Heritage Capital.
Nooy joined Heritage Capital at the same time as new directors Veronika Orekhovskaia, Michael Rimmell and Severine Carayon.
The appointments are the latest Heritage Capital has made to its trading and sales team in London and form part of its global expansion plan.

Lombardi brings more than a decade of experience in managed accounts operations and risk management to the firm.
Immediately prior to joining HedgeMark, he was chief operating officer at Switzerland-based Rose & Sky Investments.

Peak Ridge Capital, an alternative asset management company, has appointed Gary King, former chief executive of the Dubai Mercantile Exchange, as senior strategic adviser.
He will assist in the firm’s continuing expansion of its alternative investments platform and its introduction to the Mena region.

Netage Solutions, a provider of CRM software and online reporting systems for the alternative assets industry, has opened a New York office led by Dimitri Kiriazov who has been appointed head of hedge fund sales.
Kiriazov has worked in the financial software industry for nearly a decade.
Previously, he held various sales and business development roles with a New York-based provider of software and analytical products for private equity firms and investment banks.
He has a strong background in deal sourcing, transaction management, and contract negotiation.
