Ken Griffin’s Citadel has joined the growing list of hedge funds and another investment firms tapping Morgan Stanley for new recruits with the appointment of Li Sun as a quantitative researcher focused on global credit. Sun, a PhD physicist, spent almost nine years at Morgan Stanley, according to his LinkedIn profile. The Supervisory Board of European Commodity Clearing AG has appointed Dr Tobias Paulun as the new CEO of the clearing house, effective from 1 April. The 41-year-old, who holds a doctorate in engineering and economics, will relinquish his previous position as chief strategy officer of the European Energy Exchange AG.
The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, the post-trade market infrastructure for the global financial services industry, has made several key leadership appointments that become effective on 10 April, 2023. According to her LinkedIn profile, the French national, who has been working in the UK since 2017, has joined the London office of Steve Cohen’s $27.2 billion firm as a long/short credit analyst after less than two years at Credit Suisse. ExodusPoint Capital Management, a $13 billion hedge fund with offices in London, Paris, Dubai and Singapore, has appointed Evangelos Makris as an analyst from JPMorgan, where he was a senior associate for three years, according to a report by Financial News. Makris joined JP Morgan as an associate in 2019 before being promoted to senior associate in November 2021, having begun his career at Tokyo-headquartered Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group. Makris’ appointment follows those of fellow analyst June Sun who joined ExodusPoint earlier this month from Bank of America (BofA) and former Citi rates trader Hao Qu, who joined the firm

Graichen will be based in the firm’s New York City office where he will service JGUN’s clients across equity and debt transactions. Graichen brings over two decades of experience in equity capital markets and institutional sales to JGUN. Morgan Stanley is the latest firm to benefit from a Goldman Sachs defection with Brett le Roux, a cross-asset hedge fund sales executive working in Goldman’s London office, joining the firm as an executive director, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
